Ambassadors for London. Working in partnership with the University of London, Birkbeck College and the host borough for the London 2012 Olympic Games Talk-Tourism has developed a Foundation Course to train Londoners to become Tourism Ambassadors.
The two-term course is designed for anyone who has an interest in East London History and would like to use the skills learnt to start as a local tour guides. East London residents and volunteers are most welcome.
It is designed to help the members of the local communities to gain the skills needed to promote East London at a time when massive investment is transforming the area, in preparation for the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012.
Following the first graduation ceremony, several other East London boroughs have expressed interest in the scheme and it is likely to be extended to other areas in time to take advantage of increased visitor numbers leading up to 2012. According latest figures more than 7.7 million people are expected to visit the Olympic Games, with a further 1.5million for the Paralympics.

- Visits to local points of interest including the Olympic Park Viewing Areas.
- Walks by local experienced guides
- Talks by experts on the history, infrastructure and regeneration plans for the Boroughs
- Working as a team and individually to create your own visitor information lecture.
